  1. Review of Politicalme-lennie.blogspot.com
Of course the overall purpose of the blog was to fulfill the requirements for the class in terms of posting on the given topics. So with that in mind it is then up to whomever is writing the blog to personalize it with their own views and opinions. I feel that while Elena does lean a little to the left her blog is written in a style that encourages dialogue after reading. Also I thought that the links on the side of her page about Egypt were a nice touch of timeliness. So overall I think she presents a laid back forum where the reader feels free to express their own opinions no matter what they may be.
This blog has many strengths including the video at the top of the blog. I thought that this video fit perfectly with her post and was also a creative element to add. I had never thought about using a video as a visual element for my blog. Also using a video from ABC News lends credibility to her research. Also, as mentioned above I really enjoyed the links on the side about the upheaval in Egypt. In terms of layout I think it looks clean which is what you want for a blog after all they are there to get information not be overwhelmed by some immaculate background.
In terms of what could be improved I felt the main thing was something that was out of her control. I think the places where she had to add material from the book was awkward, but since it is a requirement there is nothing she can do about it. Her ideas are solid however the flow gets ruined by the points where she obviously knew that she had to put in a book reference. So really her one flaw is somewhat out of her control, however I would suggest maybe just referencing the book in a more general sense rather than direct quoting it.
Overall I would say that this blog is a great blog where the author has gone above and beyond the class requirements and it really helps out her blog. She is not a polarizing figure when she writes which makes for a better blog because people on both sides of the aisle feel welcome to participate. While it is a little awkward with transitions to material from the book that is really a very minor problem. Great job Elena!

Interesting video to watch in regards to this week's topic!

This video isn't too recent, but hits on a few interesting points in regarding the relationship between our government and the private sector. Personally, I had a hard time this week, but still thought for those of you in my situation, this video might help.
